Megan Fox as the new "New Girl" impresses sitcom costars |
Greenfield, 35, told People that Fox was a “perfect roomie” in an apparent reference to her role as the new roommate of Jake Johnson, Lamorne Morris and him on the popular Fox sitcom. The television actor, who acts as Schmidt, a ladies man, on the show, also praised the actress and her comedic chops on the “New Girl” set.
"Oh my God, so great," was the response of the actor when asked about Fox’s camaraderie with costars at Hollywood premiere of The Big Short, comedy-drama movie made about the 2007 recession.
'It's hard to keep a straight face,' Greenfield quipped to emphasize on the funny side of Fox and her talent as a natural comedian. He admitted that her skillful acting made the TV drama a lot funnier.
The “New Girl” costar had all praise for Fox’s grounded nature. He described the personality of the Hollywood actress a natural fit as the girl to go after considering the way three male protagonists are presented in the sitcom and audience was going to fall in love with her.
Twenty-nine-year-old Fox has shot for four “New Girl” episodes and has been an instant, seamless hit among her costars. She plays the role of "a gorgeous, straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep" on the Fox sitcom. She will be a tenant, who stays in the room of Jess, the lead female character played by Zooey Deschanel.
In September, Time reported about the entry Fox to fill the void caused following the departure of Deschanel, who is on maternity leave. The actress made her debut in a comic character in the movie “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen,” that became the second-biggest box office grosser in 2004. Her role in the 2005 television show Hope and Faith was appreciated and she received the youngest artist award.
The first episode of the “New Girl” season 5 starts at 8 pm on January 5.
